TLA-DC in the Community

The Trial Lawyers of Washington, D.C. and their charitable arm, The D.C. Trial Lawyers Foundation, are out in your community trying to improve the lives of D.C. area residents.
This September, our members donated suits, dresses, shoes and accessories to our clothing drive to benefit Strive DC.  The clothes went to people to use at job interviews.
Thank you to Tom Fay, Phil Kessell. David Wachtel, Julie Mitchell and Chris Nace for helping us distribute the 400 bike helmets donated by the DC Trial Lawyers Foundation. Our trial lawyer members spent Saturday June 25th helping the children select and fit the perfect helmet.  The children and parents very much appreciated receiving these beautiful new helmets. The children signed a pledge that they would wear the helmets whenever they rode their bikes.  Click this link to see the pictures.

Each May, the Foundation holds its annual banquet to raise money for D.C. area charities.  Tens of thousands of dollars have been awarded to these charities by the Foundation.    Past charitable recipients include Covenant House, Hope House D.C., The Capital Area Food Bank, College Bound and Peaceaholics.
Each December, the Foundation sponsors a holiday party and silent auction.  The proceeds are used to purchase toys for children in D.C. who might not otherwise receive a gift during the holiday season.  The toys are delivered to the kids by members of the D.C. City Council.  The Foundation is pleased to report that this year's holiday party raised over $10,000, all of which was used to purchase toys for D.C. kids.
Every winter, our members join together to donate food and money to the Capital Area Food Bank.
Our Association is always looking for ways to help our neighbors and make D.C. a safer place to live.
